Covid-19 Office Update

The mandatory mask mandate has been lifted for most businesses, including dental offices. We wanted to update you on our updated Covid-19 protocol.

Masks and appropriate PPE will continue to be worn by ALL clinical staff (as they always were pre-covid) during dental procedures and any direct patient contact.

Masks will no longer be mandatory for our patients. However, if you prefer to wear one to your appointment.

We will continue doing patient and staff covid screening, temperature monitoring, enhanced cleaning/disinfecting and plexiglass barriers will remain in place for the time being.

Although it’s undoubtedly exciting, it’s our priority to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe during their time in our office.

We look forward to seeing your beautiful faces!

We Are Now Open!

We’ve received the green light from our provincial government, public health officers, and national and provincial dental regulatory associations.

Committed to your health, safety, and well-being, we are taking measures to maintain physical distancing and a high level of sterilization to protect our patients and staff.

You will, however, notice some changes when it is time for your next appointment. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. We will not allow patients to enter our office who have symptoms or have traveled outside of Canada in the last 2 weeks.
  • You will need to sign a consent form confirming you have answered these questions accurately.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, and so forth since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • In the interest of physical distancing, we are advising all adult patients to attend the office alone to prevent crowding.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
  • You may be asked to stay in your car until it is time to take you directly in for treatment.
  • Children older than 12 will be asked to attend treatment without parents or guardians. Parents can wait in their vehicle and will be notified when their child is ready for pickup.
  • Patients must bring their own mask to wear inside our clinic.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we reopen to a new normal. We know the protocols that require patient cooperation may be inconvenient. But they are in place for your safety and ours. We’re in this together. Stay well. We look forward to seeing you soon!
